Salary: £80k + Travel Allowance

Our client is an established main contractor based in Central London with over 30 years of successful trading history. They deliver high-quality construction and refurbishment projects across London and have built a strong reputation for excellence, repeat business, and long-term client relationships.

Operating across the high-end retail, leisure, and residential sectors, the business specialises in premium fit-out and refurbishment schemes, with project values typically ranging up to £10m.

Due to continued growth and a strong pipeline of secured work, they are looking to appoint an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join their commercial team.

The Role

The successful candidate will take commercial responsibility for projects from pre-construction through to final account. This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially astute QS who has experience delivering high-specification schemes in fast-paced environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Full commercial management of projects up to £10m

• Cost planning, procurement, and subcontractor management

• Preparing and reviewing tender documentation

• Valuations, variations, and final accounts

• Cost reporting and forecasting

• Managing risk and ensuring financial performance targets are met

• Working closely with project managers and clients to maintain strong relationships

Candidate Requirements

• Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor within a main contractor environment

• Strong background in high-end retail, leisure, and/or residential projects

• Experience delivering projects up to £10m

• Excellent knowledge of construction contracts and commercial processes

• Strong negotiation and subcontractor management skills

• Confident communicator with client-facing experience

• Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or Commercial Management (or equivalent)

• RICS accreditation (or working towards) desirable but not essential
