Salary: £35,000–£40,000 (DOE)

The Role
We’re seeking an experienced Gate Automation Engineer to lead and support installations of automated gates and access control systems. You’ll be working independently and as part of a team, delivering projects to a high standard while representing a brand that values professionalism and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
Install, commission, and maintain automated gate systems (swing, sliding, bi-fold, etc.)
Fit and configure access control systems (keypads, intercoms, proximity readers)
Diagnose faults and carry out repairs or upgrades
Liaise with clients on-site to ensure smooth delivery and clear communication
Maintain accurate records of work completed and materials used
Ensure compliance with health and safety standards
Requirements
Proven experience in gate automation and access control installation
Strong understanding of electrical systems and mechanical components
Ability to read technical drawings and wiring diagrams
Full UK driving licence
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Comfortable working independently and managing time effectively
