About the Role:
We are recruiting on behalf of a leading provider of air source heat pumps, who is experiencing significant growth. Our client is seeking an Area Sales Manager / Business Development Manager to join their expanding sales team and help drive business growth in the HVAC, renewable energy, and plumbing sectors. This role offers an exciting opportunity to become part of a dynamic team during a key stage of the company’s growth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and grow sales of air source heat pumps within the HVAC, plumbing, and renewable energy sectors in your designated local area.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with merchants, trade counters, distributors, and key decision-makers.
- Identify new business opportunities and develop a strong pipeline of sales.
- Support merchants with product training, marketing initiatives, and promotions to increase sales.
- Manage the full sales cycle, from lead generation to closing deals, ensuring sales targets are met.
- Provide technical sales support, advising customers on the best air source heat pump solutions for their needs.
- Stay up to date with industry regulations, government incentives (e.g., Boiler Upgrade Scheme), and emerging market trends.
- Conduct product presentations, demonstrations, and training sessions for merchants and their customers.
- Collaborate with internal teams, including marketing and technical support, to ensure seamless service and customer satisfaction.
- Maintain accurate records, forecasts, and pipeline management using CRM software.
Skills & Experience:
- Proven experience in HVAC sales, specifically with air source heat pumps.
- Experience dealing with merchants, trade counters, or wholesale distributors is highly desirable.
- Strong knowledge of renewable heating solutions, industry regulations, and government incentives.
- An established network within the HVAC and plumbing industry (installers, M&E contractors, merchants, etc.) is highly desirable.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
- Self-motivated, target-driven, and able to work independently in a remote role.
- Full UK driving license and willingness to travel within the local area.
- Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
